What Is USAPhO?
The USA Physics Olympiad (USAPhO) selection process has three stages: 1) F=ma Exam — 25 multiple-choice mechanics questions, 75 minutes; 2) USAPhO Semi-Final — 3 long-form free-response problems, 3 hours; 3) US Physics Team — national training camp leading to IPhO selection. Top scorers on the F=ma advance to USAPhO; USAPhO honorable mention and above are nationally recognized.
