What Is JEE Main?
JEE Main is the NTA's entrance examination for admission to NITs, IIITs, and the Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs), and the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced. It is conducted twice a year (January and April attempts) at the Class 11–12 CBSE level.
Each candidate can sit both January and April sessions; the best NTA score across the two is used for the final rank. The exam is computer-based for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech). Paper 2A covers B.Arch (with Drawing) and Paper 2B covers B.Planning.
