What Is JEE Advanced?
JEE Advanced is the gateway to the IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology). Only the top ~2,50,000 JEE Main qualifiers across all categories are eligible. The exam is renowned for its conceptual depth, multi-step problems, and emphasis on applying fundamentals to unfamiliar situations across Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
JEE Advanced is conducted by one of the seven zonal IITs (rotating annually) under the JEE Apex Board. It is two compulsory papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2), each 3 hours, taken on the same day in May/June.
