    What Is AP Physics 2?

AP Physics 2 is an algebra-based, second-semester college-level physics course covering fluids, thermodynamics, electricity, magnetism, optics, and modern physics. It builds on AP Physics 1 and is designed for students who want a comprehensive physics background before college. A score of 3 or higher may earn college credit equivalent to a second-semester introductory physics course.

    Who is it for?
Students who have completed AP Physics 1 (or an equivalent intro course) and are enrolled in or self-studying AP Physics 2. Strong algebra skills required; no calculus needed.
    How is it taught?
Live 1-to-1 online classes with a verified Physics mentor. Your first session is a free trial that maps your level, then classes follow a personal plan. From $12/hour.
    Exam format
3 hours total. 50 multiple-choice questions (90 min, 50%) plus 4 free-response questions (90 min, 50%) covering experimental design, paragraph argument, and quantitative analysis.

How AP Physics 2 mentoring works

    1. Step 1

      Free trial & level check

Your first 1-to-1 session is free. A Physics mentor works through AP Physics 2 problems with you to find exactly where marks are being lost.

    2. Step 2

      Your personal plan

We write a plan around those gaps, starting with Thermodynamics, Electric Force, Field, and Potential, Electric Circuits, paced to your exam date.

    3. Step 3

      Live 1-to-1 classes

Weekly online sessions with the same matched mentor, with practice set between lessons and every mistake reviewed.

    4. Step 4

      Progress updates

Parents get regular updates on accuracy, pace and readiness. If the mentor fit isn't right, we rematch at no cost.
