Start in Class 11, not Class 12

Class 11 (Year 12) - **Sept–Nov:** Begin standardised tests prep (SAT/ACT, IELTS/TOEFL). - **Dec–Feb:** Build a 12-university long list across reach / match / safety. - **Mar–May:** First SAT attempt. Start essay brainstorming. - **Jun–Aug:** Summer programme, research project, or internship.
Class 12 (Year 13) - **Sept:** Finalise Common App / UCAS list. Request teacher recommendations. - **Oct–Nov:** Submit Early Decision / Early Action. UCAS deadline 15 Oct (Oxbridge / Medicine) or 31 Jan. - **Dec–Feb:** Regular Decision essays. Interviews. - **Mar–Apr:** Decisions arrive. Compare offers.
