What Is AP Lit?
AP English Literature & Composition is a college-level course in literary analysis. Students engage with short fiction, poetry, and longer fiction or drama from a wide range of periods and cultures. The exam assesses reading comprehension, literary analysis, and three timed essays — poetry analysis, prose analysis, and a literary argument. A score of 3 or higher commonly earns first-year college English credit.
- Who is it for?
- Students in grades 11–12 taking AP English Literature, often after AP Language. Strong fit for future humanities, law, journalism, or pre-med students who want to sharpen analytical writing.
- How is it taught?
- Live 1-to-1 online classes with a verified English mentor. Your first session is a free trial that maps your level, then classes follow a personal plan. From $12/hour.
